Doug Dull To Handle Men's Basketball Media and Public Relations
Jim O'Brien… The 31-30 upset victory over South Carolina in 1971…

All the great names and games that have made Maryland Basketball special to us all are etched in my memory. And it's with absolute pleasure and pride that I'm able to join the Terrapins' staff this season to handle the media and public relations duties.
Prior to this season, I've been able to assist others in a background role with the media operation in men's basketball. Now, it's my turn to assume the primary role in handling the
umterps.com website, the media guide, stats, notes and promotion of the players and coaches who put in so much effort in this program.
One of our other functions is to assist the radio and television broadcasters to prepare information for the games you see and hear. When Mike Patrick, Johnny Holliday or Dick Vitale talk about notes, stats or little stories about the players and coaches, that's come from visits and information prepared by our office.
As the season progresses, I hope you enjoy being involved with Maryland Basketball. An important goal of our office is to help fans feel closer to the program and have a more informed view of what goes on.
And I hope you enjoy the 2008-09 season as much as I will.
As more of an introduction, my bio from
