Gameday at Comcast

If JJ Redick, one Duke's greatest players, says that Comcast Center is "a tough place to play," what would you expect when you walked up the stairs and entered through the glass doors into the home of Maryland basketball? Imagine a crowd of nearly 18,000 fans, all loud and boisterous, screaming at the opposing team. Not all of those people are simply Maryland fans, 4,000 of them are die-hard Terrapin supporters, also known as the student body. The majority of the students are seated in
Garyland, the most intimidating aspect of
Gameday
at the Comcast Center.
The west wall, situated on a 35 degree incline, creates one of the most nerve-racking backdrops for the opposition to shoot their free throws. All of the students screaming, waving banners, and using enormous mesmerizing spinners; how could a shooter concentrate?
But no matter, how much a person can describe Gameday at Comcast Center, the only way to truly understand the affects it has on the opposition is to experience it for yourself.
GO TERPS!
